Randy Coffman, Owner of Coffman Barns, donated his time to supervise the installation of the foundations and worked there many nights thru morning.Ībout 3 years later, Randy was a member of the McDowell Mountain Mounted Sheriff’s Posse and in-conjunction with the members of the Maricopa County Southside Mounted Sheriff’s, they donated their labor to install all the pavers in the double crossway breezeways in the Pheonix Zoo barn. Most of the work was completed during night shifts.

The entire Phoenix Zoo barn and arena project was mostly built by donated monies from the Thunderbirds and was an collective community effort whereas many businesses donated their time and labor plus machinery for grading, excavation and even for the concrete foundations. The 100′ x 150′ covered arena was manufactured and supplied by Bunger Steel.
